Plaza Plein Air Part 1

This is a painting I did right out in front of the Barnes and Noble outside the Plaza. We had a real good time and we got to draw to live music.

Urban Sketching (Independence Center)

These are some sketches from our urban sketch outing today. I was joined by fellow illustrators Tiffany Carter and Mike Ferris, we had a good time. It was also nice to go outdoors and talk to real people for a change.

This is for a Lord of the Rings piece I'm working on, this is just the under painting stage. I'm going for more saturated colors we'll see if it works.

Presidents Portrait

Here is a portrait I recently did for the renaissance magazine of the President, Chuck Ambrose. It was done in oil on canvas and I had the worst time trying to photograph this, I kept getting a glare from the lights. If anyone has any tips on photographing oil on canvas I would be very thankful!
