What a day in the studio, had a lamp fall and explode on me, almost started a fire, and temporarily blinded myself, but I managed to get a lot of work done. This is todays still life I again set up a still life to replicate the lighting situation for an illustration I am working on. I did this one in gouache and minus all the interruptions took about 2 hours.

Tuesdays Still Life
What a day in the studio, had a lamp fall and explode on me, almost started a fire, and temporarily blinded myself, but I managed to get a lot of work done. This is todays still life I again set up a still life to replicate the lighting situation for an illustration I am working on. I did this one in gouache and minus all the interruptions took about 2 hours.

Were the explosion, the fire, and the temporary blindness all linked to the lamp incident or did you just have horrible luck all day?
ReplyDeleteThe Lamp Explosion and temporary blindness were separate incidents. However the fire was a direct result of the blindness, as i kept tripping over things. If I had to pinpoint what was the direct cause of all of this it would be lack of coffee, and a migraine, or the demon its hard to say.
